MEXICO – Two experts will be at the First Baptist Church, 20 Roxbury Road, (via video tape seminars) on Saturday, Nov. 5, to present “Say Goodbye to Whining, Complaining, and Bad Attitudes, in You and Your Kids,” a parenting seminar for parents of children ages 1 to 18.
The video will be presented by Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller, RN, BSN. A book written by the presenters is optional for $10.
At the same time, the children will learn about “Dealing with Anger; Not Having to be First All the Time” and “Being Careful of Meanness” through stories, games, activities and crafts.
The free session will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with refreshments. The first seminar will be from 9 to 10 a.m. There will be a 15-minute break with refreshments, then the second seminar will take place.
At 11:15 a.m. lunch will be served, followed at 12:15 p.m. by the third seminar. For more information, call Pastor Bob at 364-8712.
