RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Robert Arthur Perreault, 65, of Thousand Palms, Calif., died Oct. 31, at Country Villa in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

He was born June 17, 1940, to Girard Alfred Perreault and Lucienne Girouard Perreault in Lewiston, where he was raised. He was a graduate of St. Dominic High School.

He married Barbara Ellen Shrout O’Rourke on July 18, 2001, in Palm Springs, Calif.

He was a tour bus operator in the Coachella Valley for 10 years. He was a drummer for the U.S. Marine Corps Band for 20 years. The Marine Corps Band is the exclusive band for the president of the United States. He was retired from 20 years honorable service in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara O’Rourke Perreault, of Thousand Palms, Calif.; his daughters, Valerie Taylor of Lusby, Md., and Patience McDowell of Yucca Valley, Calif.; his sons, Michael Perreault of Virginia and Peter Perreault of Jersey City, N.J.; his brother, Richard Perreault of New York, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Perreault.
