This is in response to William Slavik’s guest column (Nov. 1). I agree that Jesus does love the sinner, but then Jesus goes on to say “by faith, go and sin no more.”

Also, in the beginning, as written in Genesis chapter 1, God created male and female in his own image, not Adam and Steve nor Alice and Sarah. When we come into this world, we all have the freedom of choice, whether good or bad.

On Nov. 8, a vote “yes” is against the bad, immoral choices that some make, not the sinner, as we are all commanded to love the sinner and hate the sin.
