Library program

NORWAY – “Making Electricity from the Sun” will be presented at 7 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 9, at the Norway Memorial Library. Mike Dunn and Don McLean will discuss their experiences with photovoltaics. Conferences

PARIS – Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School will hold parent-teacher conferences from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10. Parents should call the high school at 743-8914 to verify and/or arrange appointments with Buffy Nason at ext. 2206. Deadline to make appointments is noon Tuesday, Nov. 8.

People may also sign up for an open time on the appointment sheet posted outside each teacher’s classroom. Maps of the building are available in the main and guidance offices. Report cards will not be available at conferences.

Craft fair

HARTFORD – Hartford Community Church Women’s Association will hold its annual craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Hartford Town Hall, Route 140. Many crafts will be available as well as light lunches. All profits will benefit charitable groups.

Holiday fair

PARIS – A Christmas fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Deering Memorial United Methodist Church, South Paris. Tables will include baked goods, Christmas items and white elephant articles. Coffee and doughnuts will be available.
