LOWELL, Mass. (AP) – Keith Aucoin assisted on four goals and Vitaly Kolesnik made 27 saves to power the Lowell Lock Monsters to a 4-0 victory over Portland during American Hockey League.

Kolesnik’s first professional shutout ended Portland’s win streak at five. Defenseman Johnny Boychuk and Chad Larose each added a goal and assist, while Colin Forbes picked up a pair of assists for Lowell (6-4-0).

Aucoin assisted on Boychuk’s first-period goal, second-period tallies by defenseman Jeff Finger and Andrew Ladd, and a third-period goal by Larose.

The goals by Ladd and Larose were virtual tap-ins after Aucoin’s accurate passing.

Lowell went 3-for-8 on the power play.

Goaltender Mike Wall finished with 37 saves for the Pirates, now 6-3-0.
