FARMINGTON – In the spirit of the holiday season, Franklin Community Health Network will again sponsor a holiday card contest for all children through the sixth grade who live in greater Franklin County.

Two overall grand prize winners, one for the best design and one for best message will be selected, as well as runner-up winners from each school. This year’s theme is “What I Love Most about Celebrating the Holidays in Maine.”

Organizer Jill Gray said, “This is the 12th year of this event and hundreds of entries are received each year.”

Entries should be submitted on 8 by 11 inch white paper and should include the student’s name, age and school on the back.

The entry deadline is Dec. 5 and all winning artwork will be displayed at Franklin Memorial Hospital this holiday season.

The winning design will be the cover of the 2006 Franklin Community Health Network holiday card and the winning message will be featured inside the card. The cards will be available for purchase at the hospital’s gift shop during next year’s holiday season.

For more information on the contest, contact Gray at 779-2555.
