LEWISTON – Marie Paule Dumoulin, 91, formerly of Eaton Hill Road in Rumford, died Sunday, Nov. 6, at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston following a long illness.

She was born in St. Benoit Labre Province of Quebec, a daughter of Jacob and Eva (Boutin) Baillargeon.

Marie married Leo J. Dumoulin on May 14, 1934 at St. John the Baptist Church in Rumford and they celebrated 69 years of marriage together. He passed away on June 29, 2003.

She was a communicant of St. Athanasius & St. John Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and was the secretary and treasurer of L’Union St. Jean Baptiste.

Marie was devoted to her family, especially her only granddaughter, Jane Louise Jacques. Marie loved sewing and was a talented seamstress who enjoyed working for the town tailor after her children were grown up. Besides sewing, she enjoyed knitting, cooking, playing cards, listening to music and reading.

She will be remembered for her gentle kindness and unconditional love to all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by two sons, the Rev. J. Marcel Dumoulin of Lewiston, and Robert J. Dumoulin of Worthly Pond; a daughter, Louise Smith, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; one sister, Marie Lourdes Couillard of Quebec City; and one granddaughter, Jane Louise Jacques of Livermore Falls.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Leo Joseph Dumoulin; two brothers, Joseph and Real Baillargeon; and two sisters, Anita Baillargeon, and Sr. Alfreda Baillargeon.
