This year at Saint Peter and Sacred Heart School there is a new fifth grade teacher. Her name is Mrs. Theresa Dufour. This is her first full year teaching. She taught eighth grade science and math at Windham Middle School last year. She likes teaching at this school because it is very familiar to her because she was taught at Catholic schools her whole life.
She went to McCauley High School in Portland. She graduated from the Assumption College in Massachusetts. She grew up in Portland, and moved to Gorham, when she got married. Before she was a teacher she worked as a clerk in the Post Office in Portland. She likes this school because she knows this small community and she knows most of the kids and staff very well.
