LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met Oct. 31 at Murray Hall with 43 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting.

Mary Groleau led the group in singing and Margaret Lavallee was welcomed again as a guest. Athanase Couture was reported to be on the sick list.

Couture and other senior members had decorated the hall in a Halloween theme and she and others wore costumes.

This was the first sign-up for the group’s monthly meal from SeniorsPlus, which will consist of barbecued chicken, oven-browned potatoes, beets, wheat bread and tapioca.

The seniors will have their Thanksgiving meal on Monday, Nov. 21. It will consist of finger rolls, salads and other items.

The 50-50 was won by Lois Gordon. A towel set donated by Ellie Mitchell was won by Marilyn DeSoto. Cindy Hebert had donated a jar filled with Indian candy corn to be raffled off and Theresa Bilodeau won it by guessing the number of pieces it contained.

The meeting was adjourned and the group had refreshments. Cards and games were played.
