SUWANEE, GA. – Robert “Bob” P. Mason, 72, of Suwanee, Ga., formerly of Fayetteville, N.C., went home to be with his Lord on Monday, Nov. 7, after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s, while being cared for at home by his daughters, Lisa and Lorinda.

He was born April 14, 1933, in Woodstock, Maine. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he served in Korea, Vietnam, New Zealand and various other assignments and was honorably discharged after 20 years of service to his country.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who cared deeply for his family. Besides his family, he also loved his dog, Cleo, and watching the Atlanta Braves. He will be missed. He was deeply loved.

He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Payne and her husband, Steve, of Fortuna, Calif., Lorinda Hultquist and her husband, Todd, of Warner Robins, Ga., and Lisa Mason and her partner, Joy Gilstrap, of Suwanee, Ga.; stepdaughters, Bonnie Seagroves and Briana Bragg, both of Apex, N.C.; grandchildren, Michelle, Josh, Ryan, Kayla and AJ; two great-grandchildren; his siblings, William Mason and Stewart R. Mason, both of South Paris, Maine, Sandra Mason of West Paris, Maine, Wayne Mason of Oklahoma, and Orene Dahre of Statesville, N.C.

He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Lou Mason; stepson, James O. Parrish; his parents, Charles B. and Georgie Mae Mason; and his siblings, Josephine Brown, Bessie Carll, Charles B. Jr. and Edmond Mason.
