HOMESTEAD, Pa. (AP) – 50 Cent said he was saddened by the fatal shooting at a theater where his movie “Get Rich or Die Tryin”‘ was playing.

“I feel for the victim’s family in this situation,” 50 Cent said on ABC’s “The View” on Friday. “But you know, these weren’t kids. This was a 30-year-old man (who) had a dispute with three other guys.”

Shelton Flowers, 30, was shot at least three times Wednesday night after he got into an argument with another man inside a Loews multiplex just east of Pittsburgh.

Allegheny County police said Flowers had just watched 50 Cent’s movie and got into a confrontation with three men in the bathroom. A fight ensued and spilled out into the concessions area, where Flowers was shot, police said.

No one has been arrested.

It was not known what movie the three men had seen, but John McCauley, the vice president of marketing for Loews Corp., said the company decided to stop showing it at the theater during the investigation.

Depp shocked by Moss’ drug photos

LONDON (AP) – Johnny Depp says he was appalled by the vilifying of his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss after pictures of her allegedly snorting cocaine were published in Britain.

“The first thing that went through my mind was I was concerned for her, hoping that she was OK and that she and her baby were OK,” said Depp, 42, who dated the supermodel for four years until 1998.

“No. 2 was just being appalled and shocked at the kind of vicious attacks,” Depp said in an interview Friday with a British morning TV show.

“She’s super sharp, really smart and (has) got a great heart. She’s a good mum, and she just happens to be human, and the press wouldn’t allow that, and that’s unforgivable.”

Moss, 31, recently left a U.S. rehab clinic and was reunited with her 3-year-old daughter, Lila Grace.

Moss lost several modeling contracts after the photographs were published, but her career appears to be back on track: she appears on the cover of this month’s “Vanity Fair” magazine and recently shot a new campaign for designer Roberto Cavalli.

Regis to host ABC show

NEW YORK (AP) – Regis Philbin is returning to primetime.

The “Live with Regis and Kelly” host will helm the new version of “This Is Your Life” for ABC. The series is a new version of the 1950s and ‘60s NBC original created and hosted by Ralph Edwards that each week surprised a guest with an often-emotional recounting of his or her life.

“My network needs me! I’m there,” Philbin said in a statement. “”This Is Your Life’ was always one of my favorite shows.”

“This Is Your Life” – which ABC calls “the original reality show” – varied its subjects from celebrities to prominent business figures to regular folks. The format for the Philbin-hosted version hasn’t yet been announced, nor has an air date.

Philbin, 74, hosted “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” for ABC from 1999 to 2002. Based on a British export, it was a giant hit, but saw its ratings fall dramatically in its final season before being spun off in syndication with Meredith Vieira as host.
