PORTLAND (AP) – Tomas Surovy scored twice and Dany Sabourin made 28 saves as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins trounced the Portland Pirates 6-0 on Saturday night.

The Penguins dominated the game from the opening faceoff. After Surovy opened the scoring 14:08 into the first period, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton added five goals in the second: Michel Ouellet at 2:21; Matt Hussey at 3:32; Surovy at 17:17, Stephen Dixon at 17:34 and Daniel Carcillo at 18:40.

Portland had plenty of quality scoring chances, but Sabourin turned them all aside. Portland’s Mike Wall allowed all six goals.
