Dear Sun Spots: Thank you for providing a very informative column.

I’m hoping Sun Spots can help me. I have a beautiful quartz wall clock. It’s in need of repair. I’m hoping Sun Spots knows of someone who does this kind of work.

Secondly, I would need yarn to finish a project I started. It’s Caron yarn, soft sage 580 and mixed greens ombre 0563. I bought these yarns at Kmart. They have discontinued their yarn department. I would like to finish this project for a Christmas gift and I’m willing to pay a fair price. I’m hoping Sun Spots or a reader can please help me. I can be reached at (207) 353-9680. – A.C., No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: Would anyone please have a recipe for lemon bars?

I was at a gathering this summer and had some. They were very thin with a little powdered sugar on top and extremely delicious. – Laurie, No Town.

Answer: In addition to responses from readers, Sun Spots located the following recipe online at www.joyofbaking.com.

Lemon bars crust ingredients: ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature, ¼ cup confectioners’ (powdered or icing) sugar, 1 cup all purpose flour, 1/8 teaspoon salt. Filling ingredients: 1 cup granulated white sugar, 2 large eggs, 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice (approximately two large lemons), 1 tablespoons grated lemon zest (2 lemons), 2 tablespoons all purpose flour. Topping ingredients: Confectioners’ (powdered or icing) sugar. Method: Preheat oven to 350 degrees and place rack in center of oven. Grease with butter (or use a cooking spray) a 8-by-8-inch (20 x 28 cm) pan.

For crust: In the bowl of your electric mixer, with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the flour and salt and beat until the dough just comes together. Press into the bottom of your greased pan and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and place on a wire rack to cool while you make the filling.

For filling: In your electric mixer, with the paddle attachment, beat the sugar and eggs until nice and smooth. Add the lemon juice and zest and stir to combine. Fold in the flour. Pour the filling over the shortbread crust and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until the filling is set. Remove from oven and place on a wire rack to cool.

To serve: Cut into squares or triangles and dust with powdered sugar. Store leftovers in the refrigerator. These are best eaten the day they are made.

Dear Sun Spots: I am a fan of “Dog: The Bounty Hunter” on A&E Network. Could you please get their address for me?

Also, can you please find out when “Meet The Barkers” will be back on MTV? Thank you for helping everyone. – Sue, No Town.

Answer: Regarding your first question, contact A&E at A&E Network, 235 East 45th Street, New York, NY 10017, (212) 210-1400. Regarding your second question, according to the MTV Web site www.mtve.com, “Meet The Barkers” was scheduled to air Nov. 10. However, there was no listing for shows beyond that date.
