VERO BEACH, Fla. – Ruth L. Small, 91, of Vero Beach, Fla., died on Friday, Nov. 4, at her home.

She was born Dec. 5, 1913, in Ellsworth.

She lived most of her life in Auburn, moving to Hamilton, Ohio, in 1995 to be with her daughter. She was active in the Court Street Baptist Church in Auburn before moving to Ohio.

She lived in Vero Beach, Fla., with her daughter and family for about one year, having moved there from Hamilton, Ohio. She attended the Ryanwood Fellowship.

She is survived by her daughters, Trudie Garey of Vero Beach, Fla., and Wilma Shook of North Carolina; her sons, Robert Way of Lincoln, Michael Waye of Lewiston, and Deland Small of Otisfield; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eldred Small; and a son, Milford Waye.
