LEWISTON – Lorraine R. Bilodeau, 76, of 156 Main St., Auburn, died peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Central Maine Medical Center, following a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston on Feb. 13, 1929, the daughter of Emile and Ida (Gauthier) Belanger, and had been a resident of this community all of her life.

She was employed in the local textile industry for many years.

She married Willie Bilodeau on July 1, 1950, and he died on Feb. 23, 1988.

She was a member of the Montagnard Snowshoe Club and a parishioner of Holy Family Church.

Lorraine enjoyed playing beano and cards. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Gerard Bilodeau of Monmouth; one daughter, Connie Turcotte and her husband, Gary, of Lewiston; two brothers, Emile Belanger and his wife, Anne, of Kissimmee, Fla., and Paul Belanger and his wife, Lena, of Old Town; two sisters, Jeanne Michaud and her husband, Henry, of South Berwick, and Florence Croteau and her husband, Normand, of Auburn; four grandchildren, Jeff Bilodeau and his wife, Kristen, of Greene, Laurie Hagen and her husband, Chad, of Litchfield, Scott Turcotte and his wife, Elizabeth, of Lewiston, and Steve Turcotte of Lewiston; two step-granddaughters, Ashley and Allison Turcotte of Lewiston; three great-grandchildren, Mikayla Dutil of Lewiston, Morgan Bilodeau of Greene, and Madisyn Turcotte of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one son, Ronald Bilodeau, who died on Aug. 12, 1991.
