I believe that, in our democracy, a senator is elected to carry the voice of her constituents to the federal government. It would, therefore, appear that senators should be in as close contact with the public as possible. However, in Maine, that is no longer the case. I must go to through the Web and fill in numerous blanks before I can reach either senator. Their e-mail addresses are no longer functional.
