LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met Nov. 14 at Murray Hall with 39 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces.
Mary Groleau led the group as they sang “Holy, Holy, Holy.”
Treasurer Marilyn DeSoto read her report and it was accepted. It was reported that Gail Lachance is on the sick list. Emile Richards underwent surgery and the group offered their prayers and best wishes. Cards were sent to both.
The group will have a Thanksgiving meal at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21. It will consist of finger rolls, salads and other foods.
Plans were made to have the annual Christmas party on Monday, Dec. 12, provided that the weather is not stormy. If so, it will be held on the following Monday, Dec. 19. The group will not have a meeting on that day.
The 50-50 was won by Alice Demoras. The meeting was adjourned after which a Chinese auction was held. Cards and games were played.
