FARMINGTON – Doris Lillian Baxter, 91, of Farmington, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Sandy River Center for Health Care and Rehabilitation.

She was born Jan. 5, 1914, a daughter of Orville B. and Mona P. (Ballard) Sanborn. She received her education in local schools and was married to the late William Baxter.

She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed knitting and sewing.

She is survived by one son, Philip Baxter and his wife, Lois, of Orono; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband; and two children, Billy Baxter and Crystal Johnson.
