FALMOUTH, Mass. – Hollis E. Brown, 79, of East Falmouth, Mass., died Thursday, Nov. 17, at Royal Nursing Center in Falmouth.
Born in Camden, he was son of the late Hollis Brown Sr. and Lillian Mae Brown. He attended schools in Camden and Oxford, also Northeastern University and MIT.
He was the husband of Carmil (Hascall) Hollis, to whom he was married 53 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1942 to 1946. He worked in the electronics engineering field for many years.
He enjoyed skiing, private piloting of his plane and boating. He was active in the Universalist Church in Auburn.
Besides his wife, he leaves one daughter, Vickie Paxton of Bluffton, S.C.; two sons, Michael Brown of Sterling, Mass., and Douglas Brown of Lisbon, N.H.; three sisters, Priscilla Twitchell of Norway, Ruth Kimball of Norway, and Ellen Gilbert of Winslow; and five grandchildren.
He was brother of the late Edith Pineau, Stella Dupont and Elwood Brown.
