NEWCASTLE – The wedding and reception of Susan Adelaide Byers and Ralph Albert Fletcher was held at 4 p.m. on Aug. 6 at the Byers family home in Newcastle. The Rev. Robert Dorr officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Julia B. Gillam of Oklahoma City and William L. Byers of Newcastle. The bridegroom is the son of the late Mary and Ralph Fletcher.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Benita Lanzarone of Bath was maid of honor, and Frank Reynolds of Amherst, N.H., served as best man.
The bride is employed at Maine Medical Center Ob/Gyn Associates in Portland, where she is the ultrasound education coordinator and a staff sonographer.
The bridegroom recently retired from Tambrands in Auburn, after 27 years of service.
The couple is residing in Auburn.
