LIVERMORE FALLS – Dr. Roger Allen Kay of Kay Advanced Dental Concepts in Livermore Falls recently received the Mastership Award during a ceremony at the Academy of General Dentistry’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

The Mastership Award is the highest honor available in the Academy of General Dentistry and one of the most respected designations in the profession. This accomplishment meets the highest criteria for professional excellence.

To accomplish this milestone, Kay, of Industry, completed 1,100 hours of continuing dental education in the 16 disciplines of dentistry, including 400 hours dedicated to hands-on skills and techniques. Only 2,100 general dentists nationally have received the award.

The Academy of General Dentistry is a nonprofit organization of more than 35,000 general dentists.

Kay graduated from the Loyola School of Dental Surgery in 1970.

In addition to the Academy of General Dentistry, he is a member of the American Dental Association, and past president of both the Maine Board of Dental Examiners and the Maine Dental Association.

Kay is married to Sunny Kay and has four children, Jeremy, Nathan, North and Max.
