LEWISTON – The wedding of Mandy Marie LaBonte and Derek Jason Cyr was held at 5:30 p.m. on June 24 at St. Joseph’s Church. The Rev. Mike Seavey officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Cyr is the daughter of Robert and Charlene LaBonte of Lakeland, Fla. Mr. Cyr is the son of Norman and Maryse Cyr of Brunswick.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory satin strapless gown with dropped waistline, hand beaded and embroidered with Swarovski crystals and a Cathedral train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white and lavender roses.

A cousin of the bride, Amy LaBonte, was maid of honor, and Pamela Paz, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Meaghan Valley, Tricia Ducharme, Lisa Mathieu and Alicia Mears, friends of the bride.

A brother of the bridegroom, Neil Cyr, was best man, and ushers were Nicholas LaBonte, brother of the bride, and Jason Vallee, David Labbe, Jeff Michaud and Michael Ames, friends of the bridegroom. Thomas Oriend, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. They are residing in Lakeland, Fla.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of the University of Southern Maine and is a media specialist teacher at Socrum Elementary School in Lakeland, Fla.

The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Colby College in Waterville and is a banking analyst at MidFlorida Federal Credit Union in Lakeland, Fla.
