WAYNE – The wedding of Kristen Olsen and Michael H. Duplessis was held at 4 p.m. on Oct. 1 at the Ladd Center in Wayne. Prof. Jon Schlenker officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Duplessis is the daughter of Lynda and Michael MacFarland of Chelsea. Mr. Duplessis is the son of Henry and Marion Duplessis of Augusta.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory A-line gown and carried a bouquet of Arabian Night dahlias and Typha angustifolia.
Tracey Thibault, friend of the bride, was honor attendant, and bridesmaid was Lisa Ouellette, another friend. Kaleigh Duplessis, daughter, was flower girl.
Mark Duplessis, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and usher was Eric Green, brother of the bridegroom. Junior usher was Justin Olsen, son of the bride, and ring bearer was Jordan Olsen, another son.
A reception followed at the Ladd Center, after which the couple traveled to Mexico.
The bride is a 1984 graduate of Cony High School in Augusta and received an associate degree in criminal justice and a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice from the University of Maine at Augusta. She is employed as administrative associate in the admissions office at the University of Maine at Augusta.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Cony High School in Augusta and attended the University of Maine at Augusta. He is employed in the maintenance division at the University of Maine at Augusta.
