Dear Sun Spots: You’ve helped me in the past and I’m hoping you can do it again.

My sister-in-law was one of the Hart Twins who sang with Hal Lone Pine and The Mountaineers in the 1950s. We’re wondering if anyone would have any pictures or other memorabilia of any of these shows, particularly the Augusta show? Some of the artists in the show were Lenny Breau, Pat Murphy, Gene Hooper, Curtis Johnson, Don Baker and Bob Gosselin. Anything such as 8-mm films or anything pertaining to these shows would be greatly appreciated and she’d be glad to pay copying costs. Contacts can please be sent to: Priscilla (Hart) Leo, 73 Rowe Ave., Portland, ME 04102. Thank you for your help. – Judy Deabler, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: I have quite a few magazines that I hate to throw away. Anyone interested in older issues of End Times, Family Circle and Woman’s Day can please call me.

Also, some time ago there was a request for books for someone building a small library. Should they need more books, please call me at (207) 777-5614 before Dec. 13. – No Name, No Town.

Answer: In addition to responses from readers, Sun Spots wonders if you are referring to Yvette M. Michaud who is seeking donations of used encyclopedias, dictionaries, educational software, educational games of all kinds, atlases, books, workbooks, etc. for a K-12 nonprofit organization. They are looking for donations of more up-to-date items published within the last few years so they will be more timely for the children. Please contact her at (207) 784-8758.

In addition, Michaud is also looking for board games for teenage/adolescent girls, part of a group home, especially software, books such as dictionaries, thesauruses, math and other education computer software. Anything educational and geared to these age groups would be greatly appreciated by us all. Please note there are three Yvette Michauds here locally so ensure you call the phone number above for Yvette M. Michaud.

Dear Sun Spots: I am looking for a friend, Brenda Marcotte, that I have not seen for more than 30 years. We lived a few houses from each other on Third Street in New Auburn. Her mom’s name is Vera. We made our First Communion and confirmation together at St. Joseph’s Church in November 1963 and May of 1964. If you read this, Brenda, please contact me: Mary MacDonald, (207) 364-2192. I really would like to hear from you. – Mary MacDonald, Rumford.

Dear Sun Spots: Please tell me where to purchase paper liners for jumbo-sized muffins so they won’t stick to the pan?

Also, I am looking for a coffee mug with Scrabble on it. – No Name, No Town.
