MEXICO – Theresa B. Thomas, 84, of Middle Avenue, Mexico, died Saturday, Nov. 19, at Birchwoods at Canco Assisted Living in Portland.
She was born in Dixfield, on Dec. 30, 1920, a daughter of Elliot and Una (Holman) Brown and was a graduate from Mexico High School.
She was a member of the Mexico Mother’s Club and had served on the Mexico School Board for many years and had been active with the Mexico Library.
She was married in Bridgeport, Conn., on Sept. 30, 1944 to Henry W. “Okie” Thomas, who survives of Mexico.
Other survivors include a daughter, Perrianne Thomas of Portland; three sons, Wesley W. and wife, Susan, of Westchester, Pa., Stanley B. of Redmond, Wash., and Michael H. Thomas and wife, Kathleen, of Twinsburg, Ohio; a sister, Narissa Cunningham of Gorham; a brother, Greyson Brown of Cos Cob, Conn.; and six grandchildren, Kevin Thomas, Katie Kol, Jayne Leigh Thomas, and Joe, Scott and Robby Thomas.
She was predeceased by a brother, Roland Brown.
