Dear Sun Spots: I am part of a small group of people who enjoy dancing. The group is looking for people who have taken ballroom dancing lessons or who just enjoy a night out dancing to the big band sound. We would like to organize occasional dance nights in this area where we could enjoy a nice night out with this type of dancing. Anyone interested can contact me at (207) 784-0002, or by e-mail at [email protected]. – Monique Sullivan, Auburn.

Dear Sun Spots: We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the generosity of all the people who offered wood to help us with our first winter in our home. We were overwhelmed with the abundance. So, if we did not get back to you, please know that we truly appreciated your willingness to help. Thank you all. – No Name, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: In the game of professional golf, when a tournament pro wins and the prize is, for example, $1 million, what amount does the caddie receive? Does the caddie have a base amount such as 10 or 20 percent? I watch golf a lot and this is something I have thought about for a long time. – Joseph Unnold, Lewiston.

Answer: A professional-level golf caddie is directly employed by the golfer. The caddie’s percentage of winnings is subject to the contract agreement between the caddie and the golfer. In the unprofessional golf arena, the caddie is most commonly an employee of the golfing club.

Dear Sun Spots: I work at home making crafts and am now doing a project that requires lots of buttons in all different sizes and colors. If any readers have any buttons or other craft items that they want to get rid of, I can use anything you don’t use or want anymore. It would be so appreciated and I would gladly pick up any at your convenience. I can be reached at (207) 998-3516 or by e-mail, [email protected]. Thank you. – Janis Chapman, Poland.

Dear Sun Spots: In the past, you have helped me and others like myself find hard to locate items, and I thank you. A recent visit to my dad’s brought on a new challenge. For Christmas, he would like after-shave, but not just any after-shave, he has been searching for years for Yardley of London musk men’s after-shave lotion. It is still his favorite but the stores have not carried it for years. He even contacted the Chicago plant office and was told they didn’t make it anymore. Is it possible another company still produces it? If you or any of your readers know where I can get this after-shave lotion, it sure would make my father’s Christmas extra special. I can be reached at (207) 627-4411. – Debbie Raven, Casco.

Answer: In addition to responses from readers, you might try doing a Google search for the product. Sun Spots found a few online auctions and various Web sites that offered Yardley of London products.
