Dear Sun Spots: In the game of professional golf, when a tournament pro wins and the prize is, for example, $1 million, what amount does the caddie receive? Does the caddie have a base amount such as 10 or 20 percent? I watch golf a lot and this is something I have thought about for a long time. – Joseph Unnold, Lewiston.

Answer: A professional-level golf caddie is directly employed by the golfer. The caddie’s percentage of winnings is subject to the contract agreement between the caddie and the golfer. In the unprofessional golf arena, the caddie is most commonly an employee of the golfing club.

For Christmas, he would like after-shave, but not just any after-shave, he has been searching for years for Yardley of London musk men’s after-shave lotion. It is still his favorite but the stores have not carried it for years. He even contacted the Chicago plant office and was told they didn’t make it anymore.
