BETHEL – A film crew from Maine Public Broadcasting was in Bethel in October to tape an episode of the “Made in Maine” show for presentation in November.

Host Lou McNally visited the Smithsonian Institution’s barn exhibit at the Bethel Historical Society and interviewed Executive Director Stan Howe about the exhibit and Maine barns.

The half-hour program dealt with barns and barn specialists in other locations, including Brooklin and Harrison, but began in Bethel with the exhibit and ended in Stan Howe’s barn next door to the Dr. Mason barn. The show aired on Nov. 17 and 19 and will have one more airing at 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, on Channel 10.

More information about the society may be obtained by calling 824-2908 or 800-824-2910, e-mailing info@bethelhistorical.org or visiting www.bethelhistorical.org.
