I’ll bet many Auburn residents are asking themselves why they didn’t vote for the property tax cap when they had the chance, what with the new evaluation of property. Many property owners have had their valuation double. They are now starting to get together to do something about it. I hope it’s not too late for action.

Lewiston property owners will be next in line for the same thing. Why wait until it’s too late? People should start doing something now. Maybe joining Auburn citizens in their fight would help in the long run. Maybe a Lewiston-Auburn coalition could be formed.

Property taxes must be capped. We can’t afford to pay the outrageous prices any longer.

As soon as I find out how to join a group, I will. I could lose my home if I don’t.
