FARMINGTON – Franklin Savings Bank has pledged to match up to $5,000 in local donations toward the Fairbanks School Neighborhood Association’s efforts to rebuild the Fairbanks School into the Fairbanks School Meeting House.

The association, which is committed to rebuilding the school to provide a multi-purpose facility for groups and organizations in the greater Franklin County, must raise $105,000 locally in order to qualify for a USDA Rural Development loan program.

Once completed, the Fairbanks School Meeting House will serve families and contribute to economic development in the Franklin County area.

It will be a place where people can learn about nutrition and cooking, or how to start a small food business, and hungry families can obtain groceries through food distribution centers.
