People of Maine who oppose discrimination in any form have spoken, and for that I say, “Thank you, and no, I’m not gay or lesbian.”

Have Michael Heath and the other religious fundamentalists around the world ever considered the possibility there may not be such a thing as a God of morality?

I would also ask this same group of right-wingers if they know the Koran followers who differ in belief also quote the words in their books as the unquestioned words of God.

And what about the many versions of Bibles and Korans written by men, all purporting to be the correct version used in the 500 or more religions around the world?

Do these groups know anything about the historical fact that the religious know-alls of the past believed in 50 gods and then later in time, a dozen of them.

If there is a God, and God is omnipotent, as they all say, why then do they concern themselves and carry on the way they do with their voluminous writings and teachings?

I don’t need to read a book or go to a house of religion every day to know what is morally right and wrong or how to treat my fellow man who may live on the other side of the planet or in my backyard.

My knowledge tells me there is no such entity as a God of their description, and I thank my God of science and common sense for that.
