BATH – The Chocolate Church Arts Center will present Grammy nominee Alvin Youngblood Hart’s Muscle Theory at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.
Since his 1996 debut recording, the all-acoustic “Big Mama’s Door,” Hart has carried his musical message the world over and has been praised by the likes of Ben Harper and Eric Clapton.
In the summer of ’99, Hart teamed up with producer Jim Dickinson to begin recording “Start with the Soul,” his best selling record to date which was chosen in the New York Times top 10 releases of 2000 and named the BBC’s Blues Record of the Year.
In 2003, Hart received a Grammy nomination and toured the world as a member of Job Cain, a hard-rocking side project he put together with Cry Of Love/Black Crowes guitarist Audley Freed.
Tickets for Alvin Youngblood Hart’s Muscle Theory are $19 for members of the arts center, $21 in advance, $23 at the door. Tickets may be purchased by calling the arts center at 442-8455.
