AUBURN – Concord Group Insurance has broken ground for its new home at the Kittyhawk Industrial Park. The building will replace its Maine office building on Center Street, which it has outgrown.

President and Chief Operating Officer Linda Day said the 15,000-square-foot building will initially house 34 staff members with room for growth. The $2.5 million project, which is being managed by Hebert Construction LLC of Lewiston, should be completed next spring.

With nearly 80,000 current policyholders, Day said the new building will allow the company to serve more than 125,000 Mainers.
