KINGFIELD – Cora Niles McClure, 79, of Kingfield, died peacefully Monday morning, Nov. 28, at her West Kingfield Road home.

She was born on Aug. 9, 1926, in West New Portland, a daughter of the late Clinton and Ruth (Norton) Niles. She was a graduate of Kingfield High School, Class of 1946.

She married Howard McClure in 1951 and made her home in Kingfield. For many years, she worked for H.G. Winter and Sons. Although Cora had none of her own, she loved children.

She is survived by a brother, Frank Niles and his wife, Gloria, of Danvers, Mass.; a sister, Arlene Murray and her husband, Donald, of Kingfield; her beloved bassett hound, Jake; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, and three brothers, Pete, Donald and Lawrence.
