The popularity of President Bush is falling so far, he should resign.
This is what he should do to regain his popularity:
No. 1, take all troops out of Iraq.
No. 2, Bush should revamp the use of the National Guard and the Reserve. The National Guard is not a fighting force. During the Berlin crisis, a tank battalion out of Lewiston and Auburn was called to active duty. It took them a full year of training to be ready for active duty. The Guard and Reserves should stay home and protect the borders from terrorists.
No. 3, the president should do something about the high gasoline and home heating oil prices.
If these three things cannot be accomplished, resign.
Joseph Dion, Lewiston
