LEWISTON – Arlene M. Hiscock, 81, of Fair Street, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at her home after a long illness with her family by her side.

She was born on June 13, 1924, the daughter of Charles and Regina (Arsenault) Roberts. She graduated from the local schools in Lewiston, and worked in the mills and shoe shops in the Lewiston-Auburn area.

On Feb. 5, 1944, she married Maurice Hiscock and was married to him for 44 years.

At one time, Arlene and her husband were members of the American Legion Post in Sabattus. She also enjoyed crocheting baby outfits for friends and family.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Hiscock and his wife, Jeannette; grandchildren, Heidi and Joshua; brother, Richard Roberts; sisters, Mary Hinkley, Jane Cote and Pat Bissonette; brothers-in-law, Glenwood Farmer, Lawrence Farmer and Richard Higgins; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband; son, Daniel; parents; sister, Regina Strout; and brothers, Albert, Fred, John, William and Sam.
