AUBURN – The Auburn Rec Youth Basketball League is set to inaugurate the 2005-2006 season tonight at Hasty Community Center.

It’ll be the Boys Grades 5-6 Division getting started, as follows: 5:30 p.m., Dead River Company vs Vineyard School; 6:45, Hammond Lumber vs Photo Finish; 8:00, Lake City Exports vs Morin’s Auto Center.

The other divisions will begin their season Saturday or Sunday.

Saturday’s schedule is as follows:

Boys-Girls Grades 1-2: 8:30 a.m., Andy’s Baked Beans vs Eastern Sprinkler; 9:40, Ben Alpren Machine vs Bessey Motors; 10:50, Friends of East Auburn vs Austin Associates.

Boys Grades 3-4: 12 noon, CLH & Son vs B&B Catering; 1:15, Rowe Auburn vs Auburn Police Union; 2:30, Auburn Firefighters vs Nadeau Construction.

Girls Grades 3-4: 3:45, KRY, Inc. vs AP Masonry; 5:00, Center Street Auto vs Florian’s Market.

Girls Grades 5-6: 6:15, Lee Auto Mall vs Austin’s; 7:30, Allen Edmonds Maine vs Nadeau Construction.

Boys Grades 9-10: 8:45, Gammon Landscape vs Karen’s Driving Schools.

Sunday’s schedule is as follows:

Girls 7-10: 12 noon, scrimmage.

Girls Travel Team: 1:30, vs Lisbon.

Boys Grades 7-8: 3:00, Jim’s Auto Sales vs Pontes Marine Service; 4:30, Play It Again Sports vs Rent It.

Boys Grades 9-10: Karen’s Driving School vs Pat’s Pizza.

The Auburn Rec Youth Basketball League continues weekends throughout the fall and winter months, with the regular season ending on Sunday, Feb. 19.
