SABATTUS – Davis E. Pride, 63, a resident of 52 High St., Sabattus, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 30, at his residence.

He was born in Brunswick, Aug. 25, 1942, the son of Harold and Bertha (Staples) Pride.

He was a longtime resident of Lewiston and Auburn prior to moving to Sabattus. He attended local schools and became an accomplished hand sewer in the local shoe industry, until his disability forced his retirement.

He was an avid New England sports fan, enjoying the Red Sox, New England Patriots, Celtics and Bruins.

Survivors include one son, Dana Pride and his wife, Tina, of Sabattus; two brothers, Michael Pride and his wife, Theresa, of Sabattus, and Jeffrey Pride of Auburn; two sisters, Bonnie Pride of Auburn, and Edith Terenzoni and her husband, Ted, of Greene. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Amanda, Dustin, Heather and Dana Pride, all of Sabattus.

He was predeceased by one sister, Elaine Pride, and one son, Darrin Pride.
