At a ceremony held Nov. 20 at Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, Kristin Jacques was inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu, a national Jesuit Honor Society founded in 1915. Students who are in the top 15 percent of their class and have distinguished themselves in scholarship, service and loyalty to the Jesuit ideals of education are eligible.

A 2003 graduate of Lewiston High School, Kristin is a nursing major in Boston College’s five-year Masters In Nursing program. She is the daughter of Ron and Kathy Jacques of Lewiston.



Amanda LePage of Lewiston, and Joan Teel of Mount Vernon, have been accepted to Thomas. Lepage will major in elementary education starting in September of 2006. She is the daughter of David and Donna LePage. Teel will major in public accounting starting in January of 2006. She is the daughter of Roger and Mary Crosby.

Junior Brenda Wylie of Auburn is a residential assistant at Beloit College for the 2005 academic year. Residential assistants, or RA’s, are chosen because of their interest in interpersonal relations and strong leadership abilities. They use this leadership to manage all aspects of community living on the Beloit College campus. Residential assistants work to ensure the personal, social, academic and physical well being of their residents.

Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Kimberly Guerin of Lewiston and Danielle Ouellette of Auburn are among the 29 Susquehanna University juniors participating in the Sigmund Weis School of Business’s London Program during the 2006 spring semester.

The program is designed to provide students with an international experience to develop and expand their learning capabilities and broaden their perspectives about possible careers.

While abroad, students complete courses in operations management, quantitative methods for business, international business practice, and management and organizational behavior. They are educated in British theater, during which time they attend various plays and meet with several actors and directors.

They tour various businesses throughout Europe from steel plants to investment banks. Many of the courses are exclusive to the London Program and are taught by British professors.

Guerin, a business major at Susquehanna University and 2003 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School, is the daughter of Andy and Pam Guerin.

Ouellette, a business major at Susquehanna University and 2003 graduate of Edward Little High School, is the daughter of Julie Ouellette of Auburn and Dan Ouellette of Poland.
