GREEN BAY, Wisc. – Roberta “Robbie” Richmond, 57, formerly of Turner, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Dec. 2.

Robbie was born in Lewiston on Aug. 25, 1948, to Richard and Marion Ham. Robbie became a registered nurse in 1987 and spent the next 18 years improving her skills. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing and became a nurse practitioner in 2000. Robbie worked in the intensive care unit at Central Maine Medical Center and was an instructor at Central Maine Community College.

Most recently, she worked as a nurse practitioner in Green Bay, Wisc., for Prevea Clinic in the Pulmonology Clinic. Robbie traveled extensively and worked in hospitals in California and Washington. She spent seven years in the U.S. Naval Reserves in California.

In 2000, she moved to Green Bay, Wisc. She became a member of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church and served as secretary of the parish council as well as being on the worship committee. Robbie had a true passion for living and seldom asked “Why?” but usually “Why not?” then she would move full-speed ahead. She could shake things up, but they usually needed to be given a good shake.

In her free time, what there was of it, she loved the outdoors, whether it was working in her garden, kayaking or walking in the woods with her dog, Chloe. Robbie loved her family, her friends, her house, her yard, her job, the city of Green Bay and the Packers.

She will be missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Johanna and Curt Watts; her granddaughter, Erin Watts, and her great-grandson, Elijah, of Charleston, S.C.; her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Judy Richmond Jr., and grandchildren, Jaime Shaw, Eben Shaw and his wife, Susan, and great-grandchildren, Oren and Blaine, all of whom reside in Maine; her mother, Marion Ham of Yarmouth; her sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Mark Delaski; niece and nephew, Kristina and Anthony Delaski from Green Bay, Wisc.; her sisters, Kim and Terri Ham of Turner; her grandmother, Addie Norman of Auburn; her father, Richard Ham of Florida; Peter Richmond Sr. of Madrid; Richard Brockelsby of Green Bay, Wisc.; as well as friends throughout the country.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and health care staff, as well as other support staff of Green Bay Oncology Clinic and St. Vincent Hospital, especially Dr. Jules Blank and all the people on the ninth floor, for the care, help and support they gave Robbie and her family. They would also like to thank the staff and volunteers of Unity Hospice for making Robbie’s wish to spend her final days at home with her family a reality.
