LEWISTON – Daniel Morin, 83, of Halstead Terrace, Lewiston, died Saturday afternoon, Dec. 3, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.
He was born in Fort Kent on July 20, 1922, the son of Joseph and Annie Lavoie Morin. He attended Fort Kent schools.
Daniel married Madeline Lagasse on Aug. 16, 1943. She predeceased him on May 16, 1980.
He spent his working career as a woodsman prior to his retirement.
Daniel was an avid sports fan and in particular followed the Boston Red Sox. He also was an avid reader. For the last 13 years, he lived with his daughter, Jacqueline, and her husband, Gerald.
Survivors include five sons, Richard and his wife, Carol, of Scarborough, James and his wife, Betty, of Lewiston, Ronald and his wife, Mora, of Lewiston, Roger and his wife, Debbie, of Lewiston, and Robert of Topsham; two daughters, Joan Camardese and her husband, Gino, of Sabattus, and Jacqueline Chouinard and her husband, Gerald, of Lewiston; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Daniel was predeceased by a grandson, Kevin Morin, on Sept. 3, 1993.
