Grange program
MINOT – Members of Androscoggin Pomona Grange will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Minot Center Grange for a 6:30 p.m. supper. The business meeting will start at 7:30 with a Christmas program presented by the lecturer. An attendance drawing will be held. All members and guests are welcome.
Grange meeting
AUBURN – Members of Danville Junction Grange will meet on Thursday, Dec. 8, for a 7 p.m. session. A Christmas program, which will include musical numbers by Caroline Young, Hilary Morris, Don Nason and George Jacobs, will be presented.
Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting. Members are reminded to bring a wrapped toy or game, marked for a boy or girl, for the Christmas project. All members and guests are welcome.
Special program
AUBURN – Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.
The star point stations will be honored. A special program will be presented by Ann Kelley, Grand Adah; Rebecca St. Pierre, Grand Ruth; Jean Myrick, Grand Esther; Norma Clark, Grand Martha; and Rheanne Frost, Grand Electa.
Members will adopt a family for the Christmas holiday. Instead of a gift exchange, members are asked to make a donation so the chapter can buy gifts for the family.
The meeting will be preceded by a potluck supper at 6:30 p.m. All Eastern star members are welcome.
Council party
MECHANIC FALLS – Members of Twin City Council 160, United Commercial Travelers of America and Canada, will meet at the Iron Rail Restaurant on Saturday, Dec. 10, for a 5 p.m. Christmas party. Members are to bring a $10 gift marked male or female for the exchange. All members and guests are invited.
Hummel meeting
AUBURN – Nor’easter Maine Chapter, M.I. Hummel Club, will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, at the home of Arlene Hawkins, 4 Barkley Ave. Visitors and those interested in Hummels are welcome as are new members. Pioneers lunch
LEWISTON – Stevens Life Member Club, Telephone Pioneers, will hold a luncheon meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the Ramada Inn. Fellowship will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon followed by a short business meeting.
Christmas gifts will be distributed for all and carols will be sung. Monetary donations will be accepted for the Salvation Army. Reservations are required with Erma Sturgis by Friday, Dec. 9.
