LEWISTON – Kimberly “Kim” Anne Jackson passed away on Dec. 3, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a seven-month battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends in her final days, just as she was in life. She lived in Kingfield with her husband, Byron “Bud” Philbrick III, and three dogs, Sawyer, Sheila and Fenway.

She was born on Aug. 27, 1967, in Southbridge, Mass., the daughter of Butch and Vivian Jackson. She attended Tantasqua High School and graduated in 1985. Before moving to Maine, she worked at the Picadilly Pub for several years. She moved to Maine to work at Sugarloaf USA in 1991 and decided to make the area her home. She was a longtime employee at Gepetto’s and The Bag at Sugarloaf.

She approached life with her arms wide open and drew people to her. Open and friendly, she carried her childhood friends with her throughout her life and continued to make new ones. She loved the outdoors, often roller blading, skiing or walking her dogs. She became an avid Red Sox fan upon her marriage to Bud and was often seen wearing the Boston team logo. Most of all, she loved to be with her nieces and nephews, parents, close friends and her husband. Her laugh made us all laugh. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Byron Philbrick III, of Kingfield; her parents, Butch and Vivian Jackson of Sturbridge, Mass.; her brother, Butch Jackson and wife, Jeanne, and their children, Rachel and Michelle of Sturbridge, Mass.; her sister, Cathy Jackson Edington and husband, David, and their sons, Robert and Michael of Rehoboth, Mass.; her godchildren, Eben and Carly Wilson of Kingfield; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
