LEWISTON – Raymond Lucien Desjardins, 82, of Lewiston, passed away on Dec. 5, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with family by his side.

Born in Lewiston on Nov. 29, 1923, he was the son of Ernest and Yvonne Roy Desjardins. He was educated in local schools and graduated from Lewiston High School.

He worked for Ford for 52 years, retiring at age 78 due to illness.

He loved golfing, bowling and horseshoes.

Survivors include two sons, Paul and wife, Beverly Desjardins, of Ohio, and Richard and wife, Carol Desjardins, of Lewiston; two daughters, Rita Olson and husband, Roger, of Wayne, and Claire and husband, Keven Vachon, of Wayne; three sisters, Irene Bonneau and husband, Euclide, of Lewiston, Cecile and husband, Joe Gagnon, of Auburn, and Jeanne Cote of Auburn; 13 grandchildren, David and wife, Jen, Scott and wife, Cathy, Ryan and Matthew Olson, Sandra and husband, Don Graul, Aaron and wife, Pam, Jonathan and wife, Kayla, Kelsey Vachon, Joel, Darrel and Micel Dejardins, Eric and wife, Jennifer, and Todd and wife, Kim Desjardins; and great-grandchildren, Adrienne, David, Svea Olson, Abby and Alex Olson, Taylor and Adam Graul, Justin and Andrew Vachon, Dorian and Alyssa Desjardins, and Izabel and Olivia Desjarsins.

He was predeceased by his parents; and Lucille, his wife of 49 years.

He will be greatly and sadly missed.
