EAST HARTFORD, Conn. – Timothy F. Ginther, 82, of East Hartford, Conn., beloved husband of Sonia Roy Ginther, died peacefully at home on Friday, Oct. 28. They had just celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on Oct. 26.

He was born in Lewiston on Dec. 28, 1922, and was a graduate of Bates College. He was a POW/MIA veteran of World War II and received a Purple Heart for his services.

He was a resident of East Hartford, Conn., for more than 50 years. He worked at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for 37 years as a technical writer.

He enjoyed spending time at home with his wife, three daughters, a son and seven grandchildren. Not a day went by without him working on his crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed working around the yard and tending to his apple trees.

Besides his wife, he leaves behind his three loving daughters and son, Carol Caporale of Litchfield, N.H., Karen Fornarelli and her husband, John, of Colchester, Conn., Susan Stoughton and her husband, Peter, of Burlington, Conn., and Joseph Ginther and his fiancee, Wendy Villafane, of East Hartford, Conn.; seven loving grandchildren, Laura, Linda and Steven Caporale, Bobby Ginther of Litchfield, N.H., Vito Fornarelli of Colchester, Conn., and Jacqueline and Bridgette Stoughton of Burlington, Conn.

He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him and loved him.
