AUBURN – The Auburn Youth Hockey Day’s Jewelers Peewee Travel Team went unbeaten in taking top honors at the 5th annual New Hampshire Junior Monarchs/Tri-Town Ice Arena Turkey Shootout Youth Hockey Tournament held recently.

Auburn opened with a 5-0 victory over New Jersey Penguins. Garrett Van Wie tallied a hat trick plus an assist. Dylan Nadeau scored the other 2 goals. Others assisting were Nadeau, Nathan Bergeron (3) and Drew Lupardo.

Bergeron potted 3 goals and Van Wie 2 as Auburn knocked off NH Junior Monarchs 5-2. Credited with assists were Van Wie (3), Bergeron, Nadeau (4) and Ian Durgan.

Van Wie and Lauren Ratsep both registered a hat trick as the Mainers advanced to the finals with an 8-3 win over Burrillville, R.I. Nadeau and Bergeron both lit the lamp. Assist-makers were Van Wie (2), Nadeau (2), Bergeron, Matt Berube (2), Lupardo (2), Chris Tarr and Isaac Reed.

In the title tilt, Auburn nipped Lebanon, N.H. 4-2 as Nadeau collected 2 goals and Ratsep and Travis Landry 1 each. Receiving assists were Bergeron (2), Berube (2), Van Wie (2), Logan Pushard and Lupardo.

Goalie Mariah Mosher donned the pads all four games, finishing with 52 saves.

Evan Baggs and Travis Hemond were outstanding defensively.

Nadeau was selected as Most Valuable Player in the championship game.
