POLAND – Robert Francis Boulanger, 65, of Poland, died peacefully early Tuesday morning, at home after a long illness.

He was born in Lewiston on Nov. 12, 1940, the son of Joseph and Lottie (Tooker) Boulanger.

He was a songwriter and singer of country music. He recorded several albums under the name of Van Trevor and lived for several years in the Nashville, Tenn., area.

He was also employed by L.L.Bean and had recently retired from the Ellsworth store.

He is survived by his daughter, Monica Williams of Hendersonville, Tenn., his sister, Sharon Krupinski of Scotsdale, Ariz.; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his three brothers, Fred, Ronald, and Mark Boulanger.
