MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – Police have arrested a man wanted in Massachusetts on charges he tried to kill his girlfriend.

Julian Ramos, 38, formerly of Springfield, Mass., was arrested Thursday when a Manchester officer stopped a car for having improperly tinted windows. Ramos was a passenger.

In Springfield, Ramos faces charges of armed assault with intent to murder and domestic assault and battery. Springfield police say Ramos stabbed his longtime girlfriend with a kitchen knife in October.
