JAY – Guy Wilson Pease II, 65, of Jay, died unexpectedly and was found on Friday, Dec. 9, at the home of his longtime friend, Edith Nightingale.

He was born Dec. 2, 1940, in East Wilton, a son of the late Elmer and Thelma (Savage) Pease. He received his education in Wilton schools and for many years was employed at Bob’s Appliance and R.S. Osgood’s. At the time of his death, he was employed at DeCoster’s in Turner.

He was a charter member of the Farmington Elks Lodge. He was a hardworking man and always made sure his family was provided for. He had a passion for music and enjoyed singing. In his younger days, he was a lead singer in two different bands and later, along with close family members, entertained people at various functions. He enjoyed camping, gardening, dancing and attending musical functions where his son, Richard, was performing.

He is survived by two sons, Richard John Pease and his wife, Tracey, of East Wilton, and Scott Wilson Pease and his wife, Melinda, of Georgia; four brothers, Lee Pease and his wife, Phyllis, of East Wilton, Donnie Pease and his wife, Roberta, of Jay, Dan Pease and his wife, Luella, of East Wilton, and Tim Pease of Jay; three sisters, Joanne Child and her husband, Arthur “Sonny,” of East Wilton, Pat Moore and her husband, David, of Turner, and Joyce Parker of Jay; a sister-in-law, Judy Pease of Temple; and eight grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Leo Pease, who died in 2003.
