Rumford shoot on tap

RUMFORD – The Rumford Elks #862 will be hosting its annual free throw competition, Hoop Shoot, on Sunday, Dec. 18.

Eligible are boys and girls ages 8-13. The divisions are as follows: 8-9, 10-11, 12-13. Trophies will be presented to the top 3 finishers in each division.

Registration begins at 8 a.m., Each participant needs to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The youngster’s birth certificate must also be presented.

Winners will advance to the regionals, followed by states and nationals.
