MINOT – The wedding of Erin Eileen Murphy and Jeremy James Petrocelli was held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 10 at the home of David and Lis Murphy in Minot. Connie Provencher, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Petrocelli is the daughter of Mona Murphy and Kevin Murphy of Auburn. Mr. Petrocelli is the son of John and Genie Petrocelli Sr. of Mechanic Falls.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a strapless gown of silk satin-faced organza in princess style, embellished with beading and embroidery at the neckline and a sweep train and white over ivory lining.

Libby Anne Murphy was maid of honor for her sister, and bridesmaids were Michelle Currier Hackett, cousin of the bridegroom, Kelley Pitcher and Lianna Culleton, friends of the couple and Cassie Petrocelli, sister-in-law of the bridegroom. Grace Petrocelli, niece, was flower girl.

John Petrocelli Jr. served as best man for his brother, and ushers were Jeff Hackett, cousin of the bridegroom, Joel Lebel and Andy Brooker, friends of the couple, and Joe Murphy, brother of the bride. Joshua Petrocelli, nephew, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Murphy residence, aunt and uncle of the bride, after which the couple traveled to Barbados. They are residing in Poland.

The bride is a graduate of Edward Little High School and received a nursing degree from the University of Southern Maine. She is employed as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Maine Medical Center.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Edward Little High School and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern Maine. He is owner and operator of Backwoods Snowboards and Skateboards in Auburn.
